Coming into this match, unbeaten Pakistan were looking to wrap up the series while the home side were struggling to look for a win. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss for Pakistan and decided to bat first. The Pakistan squad was unchanged from the second T20 while West Indies brought in middle order batsmen Jason Mohammad to make his debut.

Immediately within the first over, 2 wickets fell for the visitors with the likes of Ahmed Shehzad and Imad Wasim departing. Kamran Akmal and Babar Azam were able to put up a well built partnership of 88. Fakhar Zaman was able to get some good runs on the board with a score of 21, however all the others were given out for scores less than 10. West Indies had managed to restrict Pakistan to 137-8 with excellent bowling performances from the likes of Samuel Badree (2-22) and Carlos Brathwaite who had an excellent economy of 5.

Pakistan’s bowling started strong as Sohail Tanvir picked up the wicket of CAK Walton. However, two back to back 50 run partnerships and an amazing innings from Evin Lewis lead West Indies to an easy victory. First, Marlon Samuels and Evin Lewis put up a 56 run partnership up until Wahab Riaz got the wicket of Samuels. Then, Lewis and Mohammad put up a staggering 76 run partnership with Lewis driving the force contributing 56 to it.

Evin Lewis’s 91 featuring nine sixes and five fours got him Man Of The Match and Pakistan currently lead the series 2-1. The next T20 is tomorrow at 12:30 EDT. Pakistan will look to clinch the series and find a third spot finish in the rankings, while West Indies will try to level the series.
