Arsenal will be looking to seal qualification for the knockout stages of the Europa League tomorrow against Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon. Last time around, Arsenal won away at Lisbon 0-1 thanks to Danny Welbeck’s 77th minute goal.

Coming into this fixture, Sporting Lisbon are actually far worse off than they were before the first encounter between the two teams. Since the meeting last month, Sporting Lisbon have sacked their manager Jose Peseiro and will be without Rodrigo Battaglia, Stefan Ristovski, Stefano Sturaro, and Raphinha for this fixture.

As for the home side, although Arsenal haven’t won their last two matches, drawing against Crystal Palace and Liverpool, they are still undefeated in fourteen matches. Things only look better coming into this Europa League match with Petr Cech and Sokratis Papastathopoulos returning from injury.

It will be extremely difficult for Sporting Lisbon to win this fixture but they are still likely to advance from this group. Arsenal should seal qualification tonight in London and can rest senior players in their two “dead rubber” group stage matches following. The match will be tomorrow, Thursday, 8 November, at 20:00 (8:00 PM) GMT or 3:00 PM EDT and can be watched live on BT Sport 2 in the UK.
